For New Entrants (those children coming up to 5 years old) please phone the School Office in the year prior to your child's birthday and make an appointment to see the Principal and to view the school. An 'Application for Preference' Enrolment must be obtained from your Parish Priest, and once this has been obtained, please bring it to the school with all other relevant enrolment forms.

Applications for our four non-preference positions may be made to the Principal.

Pre-entry visits for New Entrant children will be made by Room 1 teacher approximately six weeks prior to your child’s starting date.

To enroll children who have already commenced at any other school, parents should contact the school office.

Attendance Dues

All Catholic Schools charge Attendance Dues which are a legally binding charge on all parents and caregivers who have enrolled their children at a Catholic school.

In the Christchurch Diocese the Attendance Due charge is $33.75 per term for each child. The account is sent out early at the beginning of each term, from the parish, and should be paid to the parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 58 Somme St.

Attendance Dues are authorised under the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act and are used to pay for costs associated with the land and buildings for the Catholic primary Schools in the Diocese.

In addition to the first term's Attendance Dues, the Catholic Education Office requests parents and caregivers to pay a contribution towards Religious Education costs.

This contribution, which is a donation, is set at $20 per child per year. This money is used to assist the Catholic Education Office in their advisory work for Catholic Primary schools throughout the Catholic Diocese of Christchurch.

When a parent has four or more children at a Catholic Primary School, the attendance dues invoice will be for three children only - that is, the fourth child and further children will not be charged for attendance dues.

Activity Fee

An annual subscription is set by the Board of Trustees, to cover expenses that are not fully covered by government grants. It is hoped that each family will pay this fee.
